Distanziamento Fisico

Italy, a country known for affection, outgoing lifestyle, and tourism. All these characteristics were challenged during the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020s. I moved to Florence in Summer of 2020 and began photographic what, unwillingly, would become a historical record of this unprecedented time.

As international travel was severely interrupted I traveled around Italy in accordance with the pandemic restrictions. From Florence, through Rome, to Palermo, distanziamento fisico - physical distancing - was the law of the land.
